The Town Council of Vall de Cardós, in collaboration with the Cultural, Civic, and Sports Association of Valls de Cardós, is committed to an event that unites mountain values with the audiovisual sector in a symbiosis between the privileged physical setting and the big screen with the organization of the CARDÓS FILM FESTIVAL.
Both, the Town Council and the Association, have a long history of organizing cultural, sports, and promotional activities such as Ambruixa’t (Get Bewitched), the Literary Games, the Pallareses Olympics, the Correkamins, and the March of les Valls de Cardós, among others…
OBJECTIVES
· Explore and promote the values and identifying elements linked to mountain territories: Value the activities developed in them (leisure, sports, productive, reproductive), the lifestyle, and the heritage (tangible and intangible) of mountain communities around the world, from different perspectives and viewpoints.
· Boost audiovisual creation linked to mountain territories: Encourage and promote projects that deepen the relationship between humans and the mountain, with special attention to Pyrenean productions, research, and emerging talent.
· Revitalize the valley’s cultural ecosystem: Strengthen the social fabric of les Valls de Cardós through audiovisuals and other expressions, creating a meeting space that is deeply rooted, sustainable, plural, and participatory.
